Resumen
La popularización del término vulnerabilidad social no debe hacernos olvidar la complejidad de un concepto multidimensional que visibiliza una heterogénea realidad social. Superadas las explicaciones monocausales en torno a la pobreza, planteamos la necesidad de profundizar en las descripciones multifactoriales y multidimensionales como contestación válida al desarrollo democrático y centrado en derechos en el marco de nuestras sociedades, como la respuesta óptima a la fragilidad de los vínculos sociales.

Abstract
The popularization of the term social vulnerability should not make us forget the complexity of a multidimensional concept that makes visible a heterogeneous social reality. Once the unicausal explanations regarding poverty have been overcome, we propose the need to delve into multifactorial and multidimensional descriptions as a valid response to democratic development centered on rights within the framework of our societies, as the optimal response to the fragility of social ties.
