Resumen

El contenido del presente artículo trata de indagar en el origen del concepto de ordenación territorial y su aplicación ante los efectos que, tanto en el medio rural como en el urbano, genera el perfil de la actual evolución demográfica. Directamente relacionado con el concepto de ordenación territorial emerge el de sostenibilidad, tradicionalmente orientado a la dimensión medioambiental pero que en la actualidad exige de un enfoque polisistémico. El artículo perfila el conjunto de herramientas de las que dispone la Administración pública para hacer frente a estos retos, así como un esquema metodológico que todo plan de intervención territorial debe incorporar.

Abstract

The contents of this article deals with the searching of the origin of the concept “territorial ordenation” and its application towards the effects, in the rural and urban environment, that generates the profile of the current demographic evolution. Directly related with the concept of “territorial ordenation” is “sustainability”, traditionally orientated to the environmental dimension but nowadays requires of a polisistemic perspective. This article highlights the esemble of tools that Public Offices hace in order to faces these challenges, as well as a methodologic scheme that needs every territorial arrangement.
