After the COVID-19 pandemic: a new pathway for health policy

RESUMEN
La pandemia producida por Covid19 ha supuesto una situación de crisis sanitaria con derivaciones sociales y económicas. Se subraya la importancia de la sanidad pública, pero también se manifiesta la necesidad de afrontar cambios en nuestro SNS. Cambios en política sanitaria: destacar la cohesión, social y territorial, del SNS. Se evidencia el impacto de los recortes económicos durante los últimos 8 años; necesidad de reconceptualizar la asistencia sanitaria desde la intervención en los determinantes de salud. Medidas para la recuperación e impulso del SNS: política de recursos humanos; estrategia corporativa de gestión; investigación e innovación en el sistema sanitario; intervención sobre las desigualdades. Definir estrategias básicas en asistencia sanitaria e incluir criterios de calidad, definiendo el modelo de sistema, los servicios asistenciales públicos, las coberturas y entonces elaborar línea de financiación suficiente.

ABSTRACT
The Covid-19 pandemic has supposed a situation of sanitary crisis with social and economic consequences. The importance of public health system for health care stabilization has been underlined, but it has also highlighted the need to face changes in our NHS. Changes in the health policy: The cohesion, social and territorial of the NHS is highlighted, the impact of economic cuts in the last 8 years; the need to re-conceptualize health care from the intervention in health determinants. Measures for the recovery and promotion of the NHS: human resources policy; corporate management strategy; research and innovation in the health system; intervention over inequalities. Define the strategies in health care including the quality criteria, defining what model of health system, what public health services, what coverage to be provided, and then develop a sufficient financing.
