Resumen: Breve presentación biográfica general sobre el escritor, político y periodista socialista bilbaíno Julián Zugazagoitia Mendieta (1899-1940), destacando su amplia labor periodística en las modalidades de biógrafo y crítico de arte, no analizada hasta este momento. Incluye también referencias a sus últimos proyectos y al único terminado, Sorrow. Vida patética de Van Gogh, una breve y sentimental biografía sobre Vicent Van Gogh, la cual formaba parte de una trilogía inconclusa titulada Muy siglo XIX (sumada a otras de Federico Chopin y Oscar Wilde). Abstract: Brief general biographic approach about the writer, politician and journalist from Bilbao Julián Zugazagoitia Mendieta (1899-1940), emphasizing his broad journal work as biographer and art critic, which hasn’t been analyzed by this moment. Includes also references about his latest projects and the only finished one, Sorrow. Vida patética de Van Gogh, a brief sentimental biography about Vicent Van Gogh, which is part of an unfinished trilogy titled Muy siglo XIX (the others about Federico Chopin and Oscar Wilde). Away from politics, Zugazagoitia focus his job in writing and he joined both themes in this biography wrote in his two years of exile in Paris, about 1939 and 1940.
