Resumen: Nuestro país tiene pendiente la actualización de la Ley del Patrimonio Histórico español de 1985. Han pasado casi 25 años desde la aprobación de la ley vigente y en el tiempo transcurrido nos ha dejado acontecimientos, problemáticas y nuevos enfoques teóricos y prácticos, que inciden en la manera de abordar lo relativo al patrimonio cultural. Este patrimonio, legado por la historia, es recibido por una comunidad como herencia común que ha de conservarse, administrarse, mantenerse y difundirse desde principios y criterios actualizados y ampliamente compartidos.

Abstract: Our country has hanging the update of the Law of the Historical Spanish Patrimony of 1985. Almost years have happened from the approval of the law and in the passed time it has left events us, problematic and new theoretical and practical approaches that affect in the way of approaching the relative thing to the cultural patrimony. This patrimony bequeathed by the history is got for a community as common inheritance that has to remain, to manage the affairs, to be kept and to spread from principles and updated and widely shared criteria.
