NECESIDADES, APOYO SOCIAL Y BIENESTAR SUBJETIVO A LO LARGO DEL PROCESO MIGRATORIO

Resumen

Desde una perspectiva ecológica, en la presente investigación se analiza la evolución de las necesidades, el sistema de apoyo social y el bienestar subjetivo de los inmigrantes marroquíes en la provincia de Almería a lo largo del proceso de asentamiento en el contexto receptor. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que los principales problemas de los marroquíes son los manifestados en las áreas de vivienda, empleo y documentación, observándose escasos cambios en las necesidades definidas como prioritarias, en la valoración general negativa de su situación y en su bajo nivel de bienestar subjetivo. Aunque a medida que aumenta el tiempo de residencia en nuestro país se observa un incremento progresivo de las relaciones con autóctonos, los vínculos con otros inmigrantes constituyen la principal fuente de apoyo durante todas las etapas de la experiencia migratoria.

Abstract

From an ecological perspective, the evolution of immigrants’ needs, social support and subjective well-being during the settlement process at the receiving context is analysed in the present piece of research. Results show that the main problems of Moroccans are those in the areas of housing, employment and legal situation, with small changes in perceived need priorities, in the general negativa valuation of their situation, as well as in the low level of subjective well-being. Although a progressive increase in the relationships with autochtonous people is observed, ties with other immigrants are the main source of support and resources in all the stages of the migration experience.
