RACISMO Y XENOFOBIA EN ESPAÑA. UNA REFLEXIÓN PENDIENTE

Resumen

La reciente llegada masiva de inmigrantes influye en la sociedad española, de forma que con anterioridad no se hablaba de racismo y xenofobia, y ahora es una cuestión candente que produce gran preocupación. En apariencia la sociedad española no es racista ni xenófoba, pero comprobando en detalle la evolución de los comportamientos y las actitudes podemos hablar de unos resultados en aumento. Los discursos de los expertos tienen dos exponentes, el de aquellos que lo analizan como una ideología desde las actitudes explícitas, que se muestran contrarios a que la sociedad española padezca racismo y xenofobia y aquellos que observan comportamientos y comprueban como se producen cada vez un número mayor de incidentes y, por lo tanto, atribuyen a la sociedad española un alto grado de racismo y xenofobia.

Abstract

The recent massive arrival of immigrants influences in the Spanish society so that previously it was not spoken of racism and xenophobia and now it is a burning question that produces great concern. Seemingly the Spanish society is not racist and xenophobic, but checking in detail the evolution of the behaviors and the attitudes can speak of some results in increase. The speeches of the experts have two exponents, the one of those that analyze it like an ideology and they measure it to inclination the attitudes that are shown contrary to that the Spanish society suffers racism and xenophobia and those that observe behaviors and the check like they take place every time a number bigger than incident and therefore they attribute to the Spanish society a high degree of racismo and xenophobia.
